Architect José Selgas sporting his Gravity Banana watch at Serpentine Gallery Pavilion Opening

The 2015 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion opened in London on June 22nd – and architect José Selgas attended the opening with his Gravity Banana watch that is as colourful as the structure he co-designed with his wife Lucía Cano.

The husband-and-wife duo, who head Spanish architecture firm SelgasCano, designed the multi-coloured temporary pavilion that is located on the lawns in front of the Serpentine Gallery.

Selgas was wearing his Gravity Banana watch watch, which displays time in a simple and unique way without any alphanumeric characters or traditional watch hands. Instead, the tip of inner swirl represents the current hour, while the outer swirl displays the minutes, with a continuous gradient movement showing the passage through time.
